Shakhtar Donetsk to host Champions League matches at Stamford Bridge

Shakhtar Donetsk will play home Champions League fixtures at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge this season, because the war in Ukraine prevents the club from hosting European games domestically. Shakhtar qualified for the 2026-27 group phase. Stamford Bridge became available after Chelsea finished 10th last season, missing out on Europe. Hammersmith and Fulham Council and UEFA must still approve additional fixtures.
