Golden Lion winner Manchevski premieres first documentary at Sarajevo, on Kočani nightclub fire survivors

Milcho Manchevski, whose 'Before the Rain' won Venice's Golden Lion in 1994, premiered 'Good People' — his first documentary — in competition at the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival, Variety reported on 14 August 2026. The 86-minute film interviews survivors of the March 2025 Pulse nightclub fire in Kočani, North Macedonia, which killed 63 and injured 193. Manchevski began filming one month after the blaze.
