Sheila Nevins, winner of 32 Primetime Emmys — the most for any individual — missed her Television Academy Hall of Fame induction on 13 August at the JW Marriott L.A. Live after contracting COVID and pneumonia. In a video speech, Nevins thanked Dr. Anthony Fauci and credited the COVID vaccine for her recovery in five to eight days, testing negative on the eighth (Variety, 14 Aug 2026).
