Arizona's Mesa Gateway Branch Named World's Best New Public Library

Mesa Public Library's Gateway Branch in Arizona won the 2026 IFLA/James Bennett Public Library of the Year Award, announced on 13 August at IFLA's 90th World Library and Information Congress in Busan, South Korea. Designed by Richärd Kennedy Architects, it beat finalists from Australia, China and Nevada. Jakob Lærkes chaired the jury; IFLA President Leslie Weir presented.
