McIntosh wins 400m IM in Pan Pacs record 4:28.01

Summer McIntosh led wire-to-wire to win the 400m individual medley at the Pan Pacific Championships in Irvine on 14 August 2026, clocking a championship-record 4:28.01. The 19-year-old Canadian, Olympic champion in the event from Paris 2024, finished 3.49 seconds clear of Australia's Jenna Forrester (4:31.50). Argentina's Agostina Hein, 18, took bronze.
