Raiders' Mendoza throws TD in preseason debut, first No. 1 pick to do so since 2018

Fernando Mendoza went 10-of-16 for 97 yards and a six-yard touchdown to Jack Bech in Las Vegas' 27-14 preseason loss to Arizona on August 13. The No. 1 overall pick and Heisman winner became the first top selection to throw a TD in his preseason debut since Baker Mayfield in 2018. Kirk Cousins opened with a TD drive before Mendoza took over.
