Albanese won't apologise for joking about Japanese Crown melon gift

Albanese says he has nothing to apologise for after joking on a podcast about a gift of Shizuoka Crown melons from Japan's PM Sanae Takaichi. The melons, given at a summit dinner, retail for $50–$150 each and carry cultural weight in Japanese gift-giving. Japan hasn't indicated offence. The criticism is purely domestic.
