Beatport deploys AI detection tool to block fully AI-generated tracks at upload

On 13 August 2026, Beatport added a tool built by Beatdapp that scans tracks at ingestion and blocks fully AI-generated music before it reaches the catalog. Rights holders are notified directly. The tool enforces Beatport's January 2025 policy banning fully AI-generated music, while AI-assisted tracks that remain majority human-created stay available with an AI-assisted tag.
