Over 200 Golden Mozart Statuettes Stolen from Salzburg Installation

More than 200 of 320 golden Mozart statuettes were stolen from a public installation in Salzburg, forcing the Mozarteum Foundation to close the Mirabell Gardens display. The 20-inch plastic figurines by German artist Ottmar Hörl vanished steadily from mid-July; by 12 August only 110 remained. Hörl told dpa the theft was "organized." Priced at €90 each, the loss nears €20,000.
