Billboard Brasil names promoter Luiz Oscar Niemeyer Executive of the Year in inaugural Power Players list

Billboard Brasil named veteran promoter Luiz Oscar Niemeyer, 70, Executive of the Year at its first national Power Players ceremony on 13 August at Hotel Unique in São Paulo. Niemeyer coordinated the first Rock in Rio in 1985 and led Paul McCartney's Maracanã show, which drew 184,000 people and entered the Guinness Book of World Records. He currently leads Bonus Track, behind the Todo Mundo no Rio platform. Fifty industry professionals were honoured across the list.
