Locarno title "I Rarely Wake Up Dreaming" selected for New York Film Festival Main Slate

A Germany-Ukraine co-production that premiered in competition at the 79th Locarno Film Festival has been named to the 64th New York Film Festival Main Slate, announced 5 August (filmlinc.org). The film centres on a trans man facing conscription in wartime Ukraine. Variety's 8 August review called it "an affecting trans relationship drama."
