Kelly Ripa has been off 'Live! With Kelly and Mark' since 27 July recovering from gum-graft surgery. Doctors ordered her not to speak for ten days — a restriction her co-host husband Mark Consuelos announced on-air. Ripa explained on her 12 August podcast that years of over-brushing caused gum recession. Her doctor had recommended the procedure five years ago, telling her: 'Now, you don't have the luxury of time.'
