LIV Golf lands replacement investor as Saudi PIF exits after $5bn

LIV Golf has a signed, board-approved agreement with an unnamed lead investor to replace Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, CEO Scott O'Neil told BBC Sport. The PIF invested more than $5bn (£3.71bn) since LIV's 2022 launch. The deal covers "2027 and beyond" and is expected to close in September. The investor's identity remains undisclosed.
