Academy Museum names Carpenter, Domingo and Theron as 2026 gala honorees

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures has named John Carpenter, Colman Domingo and Charlize Theron as honorees for its sixth annual fundraising gala on 17 October 2026 in Los Angeles, per Deadline. Theron receives the Icon Award, Carpenter the Luminary Award, and Domingo the Vantage Award. Spielberg, Rodriguez and Capshaw co-chair; the 2025 gala raised over $12 million.
