
DRC Ebola: Most New Cases Emerge Outside Tracked Contacts, WHO Says
Ebola has killed over 2,100 people across six DRC provinces. Health authorities report 60–70% of new cases fall outside monitored contact networks, meaning contact tracing — the core method for containing outbreaks — is missing transmission chains. WHO Africa director Dr Mohamed Yakub Janabi warned: "We are chasing the virus; the virus is ahead of us."
