MIDiA's Global Music Forecast 2026–2033, released on August 13, projects global recorded music retail revenues to grow 62.9% to $121.1 billion by 2033, up from $74.3 billion in 2025. Trade revenue — the wholesale slice labels and distributors collect — is forecast to grow 57.2% over the same period.
