French graphic novel 'Astro Allan' to become the first comic book on the Moon

Albin Michel's "Astro Allan, une odyssée interstellaire," a 152-page graphic novel by Allan Petre and Meidelev, will be micro-engraved onto a sapphire disc and delivered to the lunar surface in 2030 aboard a NASA Artemis/CLPS mission — the first comic book distributed on the Moon. The disc is one of 24 forming "Sanctuary on the Moon," a cultural time-capsule archive backed by NASA and UNESCO. The Earth edition is released 4 November 2026.
