Duchess of Edinburgh named royal patron of Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team

Duchess Sophie has been named royal patron of the Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team (AFPST), a charity supporting wounded, injured and sick military personnel and veterans through adaptive snowsport. She marked the appointment at the Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead, where she watched athletes train and took part in skiing and laser rifle target practice. The patronage was announced on 13 August 2026.
