Academy adds Achievement in Stunt Design category for the 100th Oscars in 2027

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has confirmed a new competitive Oscar category, Achievement in Stunt Design, at the 100th Academy Awards in 2027, per The Hollywood Reporter. It is the first Academy Award category for stunt work. The timing aligns with Oldenburg's 33rd festival (16–20 September), which honours stuntwoman Zoë Bell with a career retrospective.
