Former waitress who spent last $60 on a Cannes ticket sees debut feature premiere in Edinburgh competition

Tyler-Marie Evans waited tables in Los Angeles before spending her last $60 on a Cannes ticket to pitch a screenplay she had written over five years. That script, "Pretty Babies," has its world premiere in competition at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, running 13–19 August 2026.
