Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto criticises Campaign Evolved art direction

Halo co-creator and Master Chief art director Marcus Lehto criticised Halo: Campaign Evolved's art direction on X on 13 August 2026. He wrote that Forerunner tech now "looks like it was built a few years ago" and called the main menu Halo ring "the most offensive thing" in the remake, saying it "looks like a shiny new toy." Halo Studios, he said, "went too far in the wrong direction."
