Collingwood great Steele Sidebottom retires at season's end

Collingwood's Steele Sidebottom has told teammates he will retire at the end of the 2026 AFL season. Sidebottom, 35, has played 373 games — second only to Scott Pendlebury in Collingwood history — and won premierships in 2010 and 2023. Coach Craig McRae paid tribute in the club's official announcement. Sidebottom told supporters: "Get behind us and let's finish off 2026!"
