De Lutiis set to become Wallaby No 1,000 against Japan

Prop Massimo De Lutiis was named on the bench for Australia's second Test against Japan in Townsville on Saturday 15 August. If he comes on, he becomes the 1,000th player capped for the Wallabies — a tally spanning 127 years from Australia's first Test in 1899. Head coach Les Kiss selected the front-rower among his reserves.
