UK Jurassic fossil collection of 300+ specimens sold to Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi after British museums could not afford it

More than 300 Jurassic fossils, described as one of the UK's finest collections, have been sold to the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi for an unconfirmed eight-figure sum. Two British institutions passed on buying it, both citing lack of funding. UK experts called the sale a "loss to the nation." The seller remains undisclosed.
