Amazon to shut down New World in early 2027, exiting the MMO business

Amazon Game Studios will take New World's servers offline in early 2027, according to GameSpot. The in-house MMO is the only Amazon MMO title being shut down rather than transferred. Western operations of Throne and Liberty move to NC in Q4 2026; Lost Ark transfers to Smilegate in early 2027. The planned Western release of Blue Protocol was cancelled.
