Mamdani administration expected to abandon Haven Green housing plan on Elizabeth Street Garden site

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's administration is expected to abandon plans for Haven Green, a 123-unit senior affordable housing complex on the Elizabeth Street Garden site in Soho, The New York Times and Gothamist reported. The city-owned, one-acre garden has faced demolition bids since the city transferred the lot to its housing authority in 2012.
