Kushner and Iger Buying Lakers for Record $12 Billion-Plus

Josh Kushner and Bob Iger are purchasing the Los Angeles Lakers for more than $12bn, ESPN reported, the largest sale of a sports franchise on record. Mark Walter bought the club for $10bn in October 2025; the deal closes his brief tenure. Outgoing owner Walter faces a federal probe into two insurers he controls. The Lakers roster is now led by Luka Dončić.
