OYO Architects lifts steel office block above working warehouse in Ostend port

OYO Architects, the Ghent-based studio, has completed a three-storey steel-framed office block raised on red columns above a working harbourside warehouse in Ostend, Belgium, for energy company Elia. The raised form gives offices a view across the docks and creates a landmark evoking Elia's offshore North Sea electricity platforms. A visitor centre and viewpoint occupy the top floor.
