Man City re-sign Rulli for £1.7m — nine years after he left without playing

Manchester City have signed Argentine goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli from Marseille for £1.7m on a two-year deal. The 34-year-old, a World Cup and Copa America winner with Argentina, was on City's books in 2016-17 but never made a first-team appearance. He replaces James Trafford, sold to Leeds for up to £45m, as understudy to Gianluigi Donnarumma.
