Lee Daniels, Nadine Labaki and Marina Abramović to receive 2026 Liberatum Pioneer Awards at Venice

Liberatum will honour filmmaker Lee Daniels, director-actor Nadine Labaki and performance artist Marina Abramović with its 2026 Pioneer Awards in Venice on 6 and 7 September, the organisation announced on 12 August 2026 (The Hollywood Reporter). The presentations form part of the inaugural Liberatum Art & Cinema programme, marking the cultural diplomacy group's 25th anniversary. Previous recipients include Ellen Burstyn, honoured at Venice in 2024.
