SonyLIV proceeds with 'Scam 2010' after Sahara legal challenge, CEO says dispute resolved

SonyLIV confirmed 'Scam 2010: The Subrata Roy Saga' will go ahead despite a legal challenge from Sahara India Pariwar following its May 2025 announcement. Sahara called the project "an abusive and grossly condemnable act." Gaurav Banerjee, MD and CEO of Sony Pictures Networks India, told Variety he believes the dispute has been resolved. The Hansal Mehta-directed series is in production.
