Ohio duo Bird & Byron — vocalist Blake Bergere and guitarist Nick Lorenz — advanced to America's Got Talent Season 21 live shows on the Aug. 11 episode after judge Howie Mandel used his power to send them straight through. They performed original song "By My Side." Live Quarterfinals began Aug. 18 on NBC, streaming next day on Peacock, per Billboard.
