
John Hinckley Jr. shares rare message for Jodie Foster in interview
John Hinckley Jr., acquitted by reason of insanity for the 1981 assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan, addressed Jodie Foster on the Mark Joseph Show. "I just wish Jodie Foster well," he said. "I hope she has a good life." Hinckley had stalked Foster, then 18, at Yale before the shooting. Variety reported the remarks on 11 August 2026.
