Vatican launches first global contemporary art triennial across four continents

The Holy See's Dicastery for Culture and Education has announced the Catholic Universities Art Triennial, titled "Exercises in Empathy," sending more than 100 artists to seven Catholic universities on four continents. Chief curator Nuno Crespo of the Catholic University of Portugal in Lisbon leads the project. It opens in late August in Rio de Janeiro and concludes in Venice in 2027.
