Zhang Anda knocks out world champion Zhao Xintong on respotted black at China Open

Zhang Anda, ranked 19th, beat reigning world champion Zhao Xintong 6-5 in the China Open first round. Zhang trailed 3-0, led 5-4, and won the decider on a respotted black — the sudden-death format used when a frame ends level. The 34-year-old avenged February's 10-6 World Grand Prix final loss to Zhao. Zhang faces Chris Wakelin next. (BBC Sport; WST)
