The Writers Lab launches inaugural Los Angeles cohort, expanding from its New York base after 12 years

The Writers Lab, a script incubator for women and nonbinary screenwriters over 40 backed by Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman, has named its first Los Angeles cohort, gathering at Women In Film and AFI in October. A New York cohort follows at the WGA East and Lincoln Center in November. Each intensive runs three days plus a five-day residency. A Canada lab is planned for January 2027.
