Two London galleries cite the same forces as they close within months

Beers Gallery (near the Barbican, 14 years) closes end of August 2026; Sid Motion Gallery (South Bermondsey, 10 years) closes end of October. Both founders independently named tightening finances, market shifts and digital platforms as factors. Motion told The Art Newspaper she is winding up "while the programme and finances are still intact."
