Writers Face Boycott Calls Over Google's 2022 AI Workshop

Thirteen fiction writers face boycott threats after an August 6 Bluesky post resurfaced their role in Google's 2022 Wordcraft workshop, which used a LaMDA-based writing tool under NDAs. Results were published on Magenta and arXiv at the time. All thirteen are targeted, including one author who used no AI-generated text.
