Sundance Double Winner 'Josephine' Gets November 20 Theatrical Release

Sumerian Pictures opens Beth de Araújo's "Josephine" in limited release November 20, expanding nationwide December 4, per Deadline. The film won both the U.S. Dramatic Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at Sundance 2026. Sumerian acquired U.S. rights in February for mid-seven figures. Gemma Chan and Channing Tatum star. The December corridor is standard awards-season platform positioning.
