Producer William Orbit dies at 69

William Orbit, the producer behind Madonna's 'Ray of Light' and Blur's 1999 album '13', has died at age 69. Blur guitarist Graham Coxon paid tribute, calling Orbit "a genius" who was "a bit tinged by madness." Coxon recalled Orbit staying up all night shaping Blur's improvised 40-minute jams into finished songs, Rolling Stone reported on 11 August 2026.
