Supermassive Games cuts up to 75 roles — third straight year of layoffs

Supermassive Games announced job cuts affecting up to 75 people on 11 August 2026, per its X account. The studio called the layoffs "a necessary step to help ensure the sustainability of the company." The cuts follow 90 in 2024 and around 36 in 2025 — three consecutive years of staff reductions at the Until Dawn and Dark Pictures developer, owned by Nordisk Games since 2022.
