Panache Digital still using AI tools on 1666: Amsterdam two months after no-AI pledge

Panache Digital, the studio co-founded by Assassin's Creed creator Patrice Désilets, said it is still using AI tools to develop 1666: Amsterdam, though "less and less." Désilets, speaking to press in Amsterdam on 11 August 2026, reiterated that the finished game will contain no AI-generated content. The pledge followed a June apology over AI assets shipped in the game's prologue.
