Guitarricadelafuente could join rare double-nominee Oscar club with La Bola Negra

Netflix's Cannes acquisition "La Bola Negra" is submitting "La Nieve" for best original song at the 2027 Oscars, The Hollywood Reporter reported on 11 August 2026. The song is co-written with Raül Refree and performed by Guitarricadelafuente, who also makes his acting debut in the film. He could become only the fifth person to earn acting and songwriting nominations for a single film, after Mary J. Blige, Lady Gaga, Cynthia Erivo and Leslie Odom Jr.
