Marvel's Wolverine will be fully playable on disc, no mandatory download required

Insomniac Games confirmed Marvel's Wolverine will be "fully playable" on disc at release on 15th September for PlayStation 5, requiring no download to start playing. Senior project director Jess Reiner-Reed told Eurogamer the disc contains the full game. A day-one patch with polish and bug fixes is encouraged but not required. Sony, Insomniac's owner, plans to stop producing game discs from January 2028.
