Leeds' Edgell ruled out for season after playing 30 minutes on torn quad
Leeds Rhinos winger Alfie Edgell, 22, will miss the rest of the 2026 Super League season after tearing his quad in a 24-22 win at Wakefield Trinity. Edgell suffered the injury while scoring a try that was disallowed, yet played on for the final 30 minutes. Head coach Brad Arthur told BBC Radio Leeds that Edgell knew he needed to stay out there for the team. The club expects a 14-to-16-week recovery.
