Take-Two CEO: GTA 6 could have cost more than its US$80 standard price

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told CNBC on August 10 that the company could have charged more for Grand Theft Auto 6 but set the standard edition at US$80 to keep the price feeling fair. A premium edition is priced at US$100. Early preorders are skewing toward that tier, Zelnick said, attributing the trend to the most avid fans. GTA 6 launches November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
