Vargas Llosa's final novel reaches English readers posthumously

Mario Vargas Llosa's last novel, "I Give You My Silence," first published in Spanish in 2023 by Alfaguara, an imprint of Penguin Random House, is now available in English, translated by Adrian Nathan West. The Peruvian Nobel laureate, who died on 13 April 2025 in Lima at 89, had declared the book his farewell to fiction, writing in a postscript: "I think I've finished this…"
