Poland Bans Phones and Watches for Students Under 16 During School Day

Poland has banned students under 16 from using phones and smartwatches—devices worn on the wrist that work like phones—throughout the entire school day, including breaks and lunch, starting in September 2026. Schools must store devices in designated areas. Emergency calls remain possible. This restriction goes further than most countries, which typically allow phone use during breaks.
