UK lawmakers found that family doctors are stretched too thin to identify frailty—a warning sign that older people may fall or face serious health problems. Even though the NHS runs programs to prevent falls, many vulnerable patients never reach them because their doctors lack time to spot who needs help. Good services can't work if patients don't get referred in the first place.
