Ableton's New Toolbox: Separate Software for Different Music-Making Jobs
Ableton, a music production platform, has released a new free toolkit called Extensions. It handles behind-the-scenes tasks: renaming audio clips, organizing notes, and automating repetitive work. A separate tool, Max for Live, continues to handle the actual sound effects and instruments. This separation lets each tool do one job well—a pattern seen in mature software products.
